Even though you cannot eliminate all possibility of becoming a victim, there are steps you can take to reduce the odds. It is important to realize that personal safety is about risk reduction, using good common sense, and trusting your instincts.

About The Instructor
Sergeant Preston Taylor is a police officer in Northern Michigan with nearly 20 years of experience. During his career he has become certified as an instructor in several different areas of defensive tactics, including hands-on, taser, and pepper spray. In addition, Taylor is a lead Instructor at Northwestern Michigan College’s Police Academy. In 2005, Taylor formed Grand Traverse Personal Protection, a company that provides public speaking and instruction to individuals who want to take ownership of their personal safety.
