The Home Finance Resource (HFR) certification course, offered by the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD), is a 7-hour program designed to enhance any real estate professional’s ability to assist clients with the home financing process. Key topics include guiding buyers through loan pre-qualification and pre-approval, implementing Fair Housing practices and adhering to the NAR Code of Ethics, and effectively communicating market conditions. The course also covers various mortgage products and application processes, as well as strategies to help homebuyers with low credit scores secure financing. In this live interactive webinar, learners will experience the benefits of an interactive classroom setting from the convenience of your home, office, or whichever location is best suited to your learning style.
After completion of the course, you’ll be eligible to earn the Home Finance Resource (HFR) Certification.
Completing the HFR Certification course equips REALTORS® with specialized knowledge, boosting their professional credibility and client confidence. This course counts towards the HFR Certification, which includes marketing materials benefits, such as the HFR logo and a personalized certificate, which can help REALTORS® stand out in the competitive real estate market. Grant Simon is an award-winning mortgage originator and educator with forty years of experience in the mortgage industry. He has been teaching and speaking nationwide for over thirty years. Grant holds licenses as a Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Instructor, and Mortgage Originator (NMLS # 301013). He is currently the Branch Manager at Ameris Bank. In 2015, he was named Florida REALTOR® Educator of the Year and has been honored three times as Educator of the Year by the Orlando Regional REALTORS® Association.
Grant serves on the Florida REALTOR® Faculty and teaches for the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD). He instructs courses like the Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Investor, and the Home Finance Resource (HFR) certification, which he helped develop. Additionally, he has written over twenty continuing education courses and teaches around fifty classes annually.
John LeTourneau is passionate about enhancing real estate education and speaks regularly across the U.S., Canada, and Europe on various topics, focusing on investment trends, ethical client representation, and global real estate opportunities. He is a Consultant/Trainer for Dynamic Directions, a leading Realtor training company, and advocates for professionalism and mentoring future real estate leaders. Since 2005, John has been a full-time commercial broker, specializing in helping clients build multi-generational wealth through investment real estate.
As the Commercial Managing Director for nine Keller Williams offices in the Western Suburbs, John leads a five-person team that works with buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. Recognizing the importance of technology for Realtors, John is also an Entrepreneur in Residence for NAR’s REACH Commercial program, mentoring companies that represent the next generation of real estate technology.
